At OCHSTIN, we want to support you beyond your purchase. Watches purchased on ochstintime.com are covered by the applicable statutory warranties.

Statutory Legal Warranty of Conformity

For consumers covered by French law, new products are covered by the statutory legal warranty of conformity for 2 years from the delivery of the goods.

This warranty may apply, in particular, when a product:

does not match the description provided at the time of purchase;
does not have the advertised qualities or features;
has a lack of conformity within the meaning of the law.

The statutory warranty applies independently of any commercial warranty.

What to do if you have a problem?

If you experience a problem with your watch, contact our customer service team:

Please provide us with:

your order number;
the model concerned;
a precise description of the problem;
photos or a short video if this helps identify the defect.

Our team will review your request and advise you on the next steps.

Solutions in the event of a covered defect

When the conditions of the statutory legal warranty of conformity are met, the consumer is entitled to the solutions provided for by applicable regulations.

Depending on the situation, this may include, in particular, the repair or replacement of the product, and, when the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or the termination of the contract with a refund.

The application of the statutory legal warranty of conformity is free of charge for the consumer.

What is not a lack of conformity

The warranty does not cover problems resulting exclusively from:

impact or a fall after receipt;
misuse;
unauthorized intervention or modification of the watch;
failure to comply with the conditions of use or water resistance specified for the model;
normal wear and tear resulting from the use of the product.

However, these exclusions cannot reduce the rights legally enjoyed by the consumer when a genuine lack of conformity exists.

Water Resistance

The level of water resistance varies by model.

The mention 3 ATM / 30 m, when it appears on a watch or its product page, must not be interpreted as authorization for diving or swimming.

We recommend following the instructions on the model's product page and avoiding any aquatic use that exceeds the resistance level specified by the manufacturer.

Automatic Watches

An automatic mechanical watch may exhibit a variation in accuracy different from that of a quartz watch.

It may also stop when not worn for a certain period and require rewinding before reuse.

These characteristics inherent to the operation of a mechanical movement do not necessarily constitute a defect.

Warranty Against Hidden Defects

The consumer may also benefit from the statutory legal warranty against hidden defects under the conditions provided for by Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code.

This warranty is distinct from the statutory legal warranty of conformity.
